[CWE Flow-Based Market Coupling] Integration of second circuit of the new 380kV interconnector Doetinchem – Niederrhein

Dear Market Participants,

Amprion and TenneT TSO B.V. would like to inform you about the exact date of integration of the second circuit of the new 380kV interconnector Doetinchem – Niederrhein between the Netherlands and Germany into the CWE FlowBased Market Coupling, by which Amprion and Tennet TSO B.V. further support the European Electricity Market and System Adequacy. The first day of commercialization will be the 10 November 2018.

In order to ensure a safe and secure operation of the new interconnector the first circuit will have to be temporarily taken out of operation to enable Amprion and TenneT to carry out essential measurements and calibrations of the protection systems.

The exact dates and latest information on when this first circuit will be taken out of operation, will be published on the ENTSO-E Transparency Platform.
