Registration for IFA auctions
Dear Market Participants,
Interconnexion France-Angleterre (IFA) who operate the 2000 MW DC France to Great Britain Interconnector, are pleased to announce that market participants can now register via JAO to have access to IFA’s long term capacity auctions. These will be launched on the 1 December 2019 via JAO’s platform eCAT. If you wish to participate in these auctions please complete the attached documents and return to JAO before 19 November 2019. If you currently have capacity on IFA, this registration must be completed to ensure you have access to your capacity after the transition to the JAO platform.
The Participation Agreement is valid in all Brexit scenarios, as IFA’s system transition is not dependant on Brexit.
If you are an existing IFA Customer, please register to participate in capacity auctions on the IFA (GB-FR) border
Please sign and send the JAO Amendment.
If you are not an existing customer on IFA but would like to have access to the IFA capacity auctions
Please contact the IFA Customer Portfolio Team on ifa.customerenquiries@nationalgrid.com.
You are also invited to attend the IFA New Systems Training Workshop which will be held in London on Friday 8th November 2019, this is also a post Brexit forum and therefore we will take you through the relevant access rules and how they apply.
