The Core Flow-Based Day-Ahead Capacity Calculation project (Core FB DA CC) parties would like to inform market participants of an update of the Core Static Grid Model (SGM) in accordance with Art 25(2)(f) of the Day-ahead capacity calculation methodology of the Core capacity calculation region. The aim of the publication of the SGM is to allow market participants to do market analyses in order to enhance efficiency in the market. The Core Static Grid Model is a list of relevant grid elements (Excel table) of the transmission system, including their electrical properties that is published every six months by the Core TSOs.
The current release includes an updated list of grid elements, which are newly incorporated in a single file for the whole Core CCR. Further improvements to the SGM were implemented to reflect the feedback provided by the Core NRAs and market participants.
The publication of the SGM is accompanied by a release of the Core Static Grid Model Handbook, which provides market participants with a comprehensive guide to the SGM. Both can be found on the JAO website [LINK].
