[FB DA MC] New date for switch to Extended LTA

Dear Market Participants,

Please be informed that the switch to EXT LTA will activated from December 15th (D-1 for Business Day December 16th) onwards.

Please be reminded that with the extended LTA approach, the market coupling algorithm now receives two domains (one FB domain without LTA inclusion but with applied MinRAM and one LTA domain) representing the flow-based capacities of the CWE region. Afterwards, the “Balas formulation for LTA inclusion” allows Euphemia to find a combination of both domains, considering a newly introduced alpha value, to optimize social welfare. Analysis have shown that this increases overall performance. Lastly, please note that the improved virtual branches will be continued to be used for reporting purposes.
