Identification of affected Long Term Transmission Rights

DK2-DE/Kontek.

Triggering event :

Cable outage.

☒Curtailment to ensure operation remains within Operational Security Limits

☐Curtailment due to Force Majeure

☐Curtailment due to emergency situation

Affected volume in MW / hour for each concerned period :

176 MW Yearly and Monthly capacities for each hour over the whole curtailment period from 15-12-2020 until 17-12-2020.

Amount of LTTR remaining after curtailment :

55 MW for each hour over the whole curtailment period from 15-12-2020 until 17-12-2020.

Information on exact operational security limit(s) that are expected to be violated in the absence of curtailment *:

There is no alternative to the curtailment of the affected LTTRs. We plan that as of 15 December 2020, 00:01 hrs., the border DK2-DE will be formed jointly by KONTEK and the Kriegers Flak Combined Grid Solution (KF CGS). KONTEK continues to be not available until 17 December 2020, 23:59 hrs. due to an forced technical outage. As of 15 December 2020, 00:01 hrs., all the capacity on KF CGS that is not required for transporting the offshore wind power generated and fed-in by the German offshore windfarms Baltic 1 and Baltic 2 to the onshore transmission grid of 50Hertz, will be made available for cross-border electricity trade between Germany and Denmark, while maintaining operational security limits.

A reliable and accurate forecast of the wind generation by the German OWFs can be made only on a day-ahead basis.

Why alternative measures are not sufficient to avoid the expected violation of operational security limit(s) *?
