Information on exact operational security limit(s) that are expected to be violated in the absence of curtailment *:

There is no alternative to the curtailment of the affected LTTRs.

Since 15 December 2020, the border DK2-DE is formed jointly by KONTEK and the Kriegers Flak Combined Grid Solution (KF CGS) and all the capacity on KF CGS that is not required for transporting the offshore wind power generated and fed-in by the German offshore windfarms Baltic 1 and Baltic 2 to the onshore transmission grid of 50Hertz, will be made available for cross-border electricity trade between Germany and Denmark, while maintaining operational security limits. A reliable and accurate forecast of the wind generation by the German OWFs can be made only on a day-ahead basis.

KONTEK continues to be not available until 22 December 2020, 18:00 hrs. due to an forced technical outage, whereas KF CGS will be only partly available from 18 to 21 December 2020, each day from 06:01 to 19:00 hrs. due to installation works in the proximity of the cables running between the German offshore wind farm Baltic 2 and the future Danish offshore wind farm Kriegers Flak.

Why alternative measures are not sufficient to avoid the expected violation of operational security limit(s) *?
