IFA2 Auction Calendar Update (v2)

Due to the ongoing Commissioning of IFA2 continuing into early 2021, we have reviewed and updated the current indicative IFA2 Auction Schedule (attached). The key changes are the cancelling of the February and March monthly auctions which were scheduled for this month and next month (January and February 2021).  In addition, we are cancelling the quarterly auction (Q2 2021) scheduled in January 2021. 

The calendar 2022 auction which is scheduled to be run in February 2021 is not affected by these changes.

Once IFA2 goes-live, in addition to the longer-term auctions, we will be running day ahead explicit auctions and intraday auctions which will have 24 nomination gates.

The rationale for these changes to the auction schedule is as a precautionary measure due to the ongoing testing programme being in progress and to date, the tests are not finished.

As and when we have more information regarding the Commissioning of IFA2 and associated Go-Live dates these will be communicated on the REMIT portal.
