BritNed offers explicit and implicit capacity products to market participants across a range of timeframes. The products currently offered are:

• Explicit Long-Term products via JAO;
• Implicit Daily product via EPEX Spot; and
• Explicit Intraday product via Kingdom, BritNed’s auction platform.

There are three types of registration on BritNed, these are:

Physical

• sell purchased explicit capacity into the implicit daily auction hosted by EPEX Spot; and
• nominate purchased explicit capacity.

Non-Physical

• sell purchased explicit capacity into the implicit daily auction hosted by EPEX Spot only.

Nominator on behalf

• sell purchased explicit capacity into the implicit daily auction hosted by EPEX Spot; and
• nominate purchased explicit capacity through a 3rd party, this option removes the requirements to physically register in either the GB or NL market.
