Additional information on the Capacity Curtailment on DE-D2 and D2-DE borders

Dear Market Participants,

Herewith, we would like to inform you that the KONTEK link, which had been switched off on 21st August 2017 06:00 hrs., (further information here) needs to be kept switched off until 15th September 2017 24:00 hrs because the damage of the two oil-leaking sockets on the land cable section of the KONTEK link has got that worse that it is impossible to keep the oil pressure at the level needed for a secure and reliable operation of the KONTEK link. That means that contrary to former planning, KONTEK cannot be switched on on 25th August 2017 18:00 hrs.

As a result, in the aforementioned time, the available transfer capacity on KONTEK will be zero (0) MW on.

Consequently, all long term allocated capacity for delivery dates from 21st August 2017 06:00 hrs. to 15th September 2017 24:00 hrs. on the KONTEK cable (i.e. the borders both from Denmark 2 to Germany (D2>DE) and from Germany to Denmark 2 (DE>D2) has been curtailed to zero (0) MW to ensure operation remains within Operational security Limits.
