[CWE FBMC] - Daily publication of detailed RAM breakdown and CBCOs human readable names

Published:

Dear Market Participants,

In line with the discussions with CWE NRAs and market parties, the CWE TSOs have defined a common approach to improve transparency on CWE flow-based market coupling.

As a first step, CWE TSOs have been providing a human readable translation table of the fixed anonymous CBCO IDs since 10/11/2016. Information was given for the Austrian, Belgian, Dutch, and French grid only, as additional discussions on whether this information should be considered as confidential or not were ongoing between German regulator and TSOs. Following this discussion, the German regulator confirmed that German TSOs shall provide the same level of information as all other CWE TSOs by May 2017.

To fulfill CWE NRAs’ and market parties’ demand for more transparency, from 31/05/2017 (trading day) for business day 01/06/2017 onwards all CWE TSOs will publish the following information on Flow-Based Market Coupling:

- Fixed anonymous ID

- Human-readable CB/CO name

- CB/CO EIC codes

- Fmax

- RAM

- Fref

- FRM

- FAV

This change will be incorporated with the release of an updated version of CWE IT Flow-Based System and information will be provided on a daily basis via the JAO Utility Tool, as soon as results are available.

Enclosed can be found a document providing an explanation on:

- How to read CBCOs’ fixed anonymous IDS (reminder)

- Visible changes for market parties in the JAO Utility tool

On 30/05/2017 the Publication handbook will be updated to include descriptions of additional data made available in Utility Tool. The Publication handbook can be accessed via this link: http://www.jao.eu/cwemc_publicationhandbook

CWE TSOs would like to remind that any questions regarding the interpretation of the new data disclosed will be collected from the Q/A Forum and answered on a structured basis in an annual report communicated through the CWE Consultative Group meetings. If the number of questions is limited, these will be directly addressed on the Q/A Forum.
