[CWE Flow-Based Market Coupling] IMPACT ASSESSMENT OF NEW INTERCONNECTOR BETWEEN THE NETHERLANDS AND GERMANY (DOETINCHEM – WESEL)

Published:

Dear Market Participants,

Amprion and TenneT TSO B.V. would like to inform about the results of a performed SPAIC analysis of a new interconnector between the Netherlands and Germany, known under the name of Doetinchem – Wesel or Doetinchem – Niederrhein.

SPAIC stands for Standard Procedure for Assessing the Impact of Changes and consists of a comparison of the CWE flow-based domains and market results for 12 typical “reference” days, commonly predefined by CWE TSOs, in order to estimate the impact of a change in grid topology or FlowBased parameters in the CWE Region.

The enclosed documents provide the results of the performed SPAIC analysis for the reference period including the deployment of the new tie-lines between Tennet NL and Amprion. More details about the SPAIC analysis and the new tie-lines, can be found in the cover note of the SPAIC.

Best regards,

Amprion and TenneT TSO B.V.
