eCAT system update - Important Notice

As communicated today morning we have released 2 hours ago a new version of the auction tool with improvements mentioned in our email. As these improvements have been important for market participants and TSOs and should not require market participants to react or change anything in their bidding we considered beneficial to deliver them as soon as possible. We announced this system change therefore on short notice. During the first auction performed (intraday auctions) we noticed that additional bid validation rules considered by us to be implemented in future have been included in today’s release by our IT provider without informing us beforehand. These validation rules have been mentioned in the email from 6 January 2016 and are e.g. excluding the bids with bid quantity = 0 and bid price >0 or bids where the bid quantity = 0 in all intervals. We understand that introduction of these validation rules might require you to change your default bids / pre-bids or process for bids preparation and we would have preferred to inform you on possible introduction of such validation rules sufficiently in advance; however, due to the above mentioned, we can only inform you at this time.
