IFA2 Go Live!

As per the REMIT notice found here, we are pleased to announce that commissioning of the IFA2 Interconnector will successfully conclude on 21st January 2021.

The first set of IFA2 auctions will take place as listed below, whereupon all IFA2 registered market parties will be able to secure capacity on the IFA2 interconnector. 

Day Ahead Explicit Auction 
09:40 Hrs – 10:00 Hrs CET (21st January 2021)

1st Intraday Auction (2)
09:15 Hrs – 09:45 Hrs CET (22nd January 2021)

Following on from these auctions, market parties who have successfully secured capacity will be able to nominate and flow power commercially across IFA2 from 12:00 CET on 22nd January 2021.

Details of the IFA2 Intraday schedule, which gives market parties the opportunity for the first time on the FR-GB border to nominate capacity via 24 hourly nomination gates can be found here along with the details of the Long-Term auctions and Explicit Day Ahead here.  

In addition to this, we can confirm the IFA2 overall Loss Factor is 2.950%, therefore the IFA2 Mid-Channel Loss Factor is 1.475%.
