Intraday Auctions on Italy-Switzerland border
Dear Market Participants,
We would like to inform you that following the consultation on the “Allocation Rules for Intraday Capacity Allocation on Switzerland – Italy Border”, the TSOs have evaluated and answered the comments received and have submitted the amended rules to the Italian and Swiss NRAs for approval. The consultation report is available through JAO website at the below link:
http://www.jao.eu/news/report-consultation-allocation-rules-intraday
The go live of the explicit intraday auctions performed by JAO S.E on Swiss-Italian border is planned on 28th September 2021 with delivery date 29th September 2021. The last implicit intraday auction will be in the afternoon of 20th September for the whole delivery day of 21st September (coupling of MI2 Italian market for delivery day 21st September). This means, there will be a transitory period of one week during which no intraday capacity will be allocated on the Swiss-Italian border. The reason is that with the go live of the Local Implementation Project (LIP 14) and the Single Intraday Coupling (SIDC) which is planned for 21st September 2021 the implicit intraday auctions on Swiss-Italian borders can technically not be performed anymore. At the same time, in order to prevent too many new processes going live at once and to ensure stable operation of all processes the explicit intraday auctions will start one week after.
