Nemo Link daily and LT Non-IEM Registration
Dear Market Participants,
As you may be aware, the Nemo Link (GB-Belgium) interconnector is preparing for the possibility of a no deal Brexit and for GB exiting the Internal Energy Market (IEM) on 31st October 2019. JAO will continue to operate auctions for Long Term capacity on Nemo Link and in addition will begin operating explicit Day Ahead auctions on the eCAT platform.
In preparation for this possibility, we would like to launch the registration process to ensure enough time for our Market Participants to go through the necessary steps.
To register to participate in Non-IEM explicit LT auctions on the GB-Belgium Border:
First time registration:
Please send the JAO Participation Agreement with the declaration of accepting the “Rules for Forward Capacity Allocation on the GB-Belgian border” in Attachment 1 Section 3.
2. Already registered, but have not sent Amendment No. 9 to Participation Agreement and wish to participate in Long term Capacity on the GB-Belgium border in non-IEM scenario:
3. Please complete Amendment No. 9 to Participation Agreement properly filled and signed accepting the “Rules for Forward Capacity Allocation on the GB- Belgian border” in Attachment 1 section 3
Already registered and have sent Amendment No. 9 to Participation Agreement, but wish to modify your choices:
Please send the MODIFICATION REQUEST form for participating in non-IEM Long term auctions held on the Nemo Link interconnector and attach the amended page(s).
To register to participate in Non-IEM explicit DA auctions on the GB-Belgium Border:
First time registration:

You can find the relevant Rules published on our website and Nemo Link’s website. Please be aware that the GB-Belgium Non-IEM LT Allocation Rules have not yet been approved by NRAs, which is expected by end of October and is a pre-requisite before explicit Long Term auctions can be held on Nemo Link.
Together with the above steps to sign up to the Non-IEM Long Term and Day Ahead Allocation Rules for the GB-Belgium border, it is required for Market Participants to sign a Nomination Participation Agreement with Nemo Link to have the ability to nominate Transmission Rights.
