Nemo Link (GB-BE) Calendar 2021 Auctions

Nemo Link is delighted to announce that we will be holding a number of auctions for 2021 annual capacity over the coming months with the first auction offering 100MW in both directions (BE to GB and GB to BE) opening on 7th September 2020.

Given recent communications from the European Commission, we expect that GB will no longer be able to participate in the EU Internal Energy Market from 1st January 2021 and therefore market participants are required to accept the non-IEM rules in the JAO participation agreement in order to be able to participate in Nemo Link auctions for capacity delivery in 2021.  Market participants can accept the non-IEM rules by updating attachment 1 through JAO’s participation agreement amendment.

Further auctions for 2021 annual capacity are currently planned for 5th October, 2nd November and 30th November, and market participants are invited to view the Nemo Link auction calendar for more details on auction opening and closing times.
