Registration for ElecLink auctions

Dear Market Participants,

Eleclink is a 1000MW HVDC electricity interconnector between France and Great Britain. ElecLink will support market integration, boost competition in energy markets, reinforce security of supply and will contribute in reducing CO2 emissions through increased renewable energy utilisation on both sides of the Channel.

ElecLink will run all its capacity auctions as explicit capacity auctions via the Joint Allocation Office (JAO) similar to other interconnector operators connecting to the GB market. ElecLink customers will bid for the capacity via JAO’s eCAT platform, where successful bidders will be able to nominate their obtained capacity on the ElecLink bespoke nomination platform Neptune.

Registration with JAO

We are now opening registration for Daily, Intraday and Long Term ElecLink auctions.

All pertaining documents can be found on our website (Support>>Resource Center>>01. Registration). The relevant allocation rules will be in force for the mentioned Interconnector  and it can be found on our website as well (Support>>Resource Center>>02. Auction Rules).

1. First time registration with JAO

Please send the Participation Agreement accepting the relevant “Allocation Rules” in Attachment 1 section 3, along with other registration documents:

·Financial Agreement

·Commercial Extract

·Beneficial Owner Structure information

·Certificate of Bank Account details

2. Already registered with JAO

Please complete and send the Amendment No. 21 to Participation Agreement properly filled and signed, accepting the relevant “Allocation Rules” in Attachment 1 section 3.
