Registration for NordLink shadow auctions

Dear Market Participant,

 

We would like to inform you that shadow auctions for the NordLink (Norway - Germany) interconnector will be launched at the end of this year and we are opening now the registration for these products.

 

According to current plan, the TSOs Statnett and TenneT Germany will start the commercial operation of NordLink on the 1st of  December 2020. The exact date depends on the successful completion of the transmission test phase. Shadow auctions will serve as the fallback solution for the day-ahead market coupling.

 

All pertaining documents can be found on our website (Support>>Resource Center>>01. Registration). The relevant allocation rules, the Shadow Allocation Rules 1.4 has been updated, reflecting the new border in Annex 1 and Annex 2 and NordLink ramping constraint in Annex 4 (Support>>Resource Center>>02. Auction Rules).

 

1. First time registration

Please send the Participation Agreement accepting the “Relevant Shadow Allocation Rules” in Attachment 1 section 3 and selecting this border in Attachment 6, along with other registration documents.

 

2. Already registered

Please complete and send the Amendment No. 13 to Participation Agreement properly filled and signed, accepting the “Relevant Shadow Allocation Rules” in Attachment 1 section 3 and selecting this border in Attachment 6.
