Registration Now Open for auctions on the Adria borders
Dear Market Participants,
We would like to inform you that in anticipation of the upcoming go-live of the Adria borders on JAO's platform and after the closure of the relevant public consultations, the following provisional documents have been published on our website:
- HAR 2026 with Border Specific Annexes for the borders IT-ME, ME-RS, MK-RS and BG-MK
- Rules for Explicit Daily Capacity Allocation on Bidding Zone border Italy-Montenegro
- Rules for Explicit Daily Capacity Allocation on Bidding Zone border serviced by JAO with Border Specific Annexes for the borders ME-RS, MK-RS and BG-MK
Please note that these documents are released on behalf of the relevant TSOs for information and are pending approval by the relevant National Regulatory Authorities. The rules will be binding once National Regulatory Authorities will have approved.
As already communicated, the explicit auctions for the above-mentioned borders will be launched on JAO’s allocation platform as follows:
- Yearly Auction for Market Period 2026 will open on 08.12.2025
- Monthly Auction for Market Period January 2026 will open on 18.12.2025
- Day Ahead Auction for Market Period 01.01.2026 will open on 31.12.2025
Registration for participation in these auctions is now open.
Action required regarding day-ahead auctions:
- Existing Market Participants: If you are already registered with JAO, please be informed that the updated Amendment no. 27 to the Participation Agreement is available on our website.
- New Market Participants: For new registrations, the Participation Agreement has been updated including the relevant borders and is available for download on our website.
Long-Term Auctions:
Entitlements for Monthly and Yearly auctions will be granted by default to all Market Participants who are already registered with JAO. No additional documentation is required.
