Registration Now Open for the Long-Term and Daily auctions on the Greece – North Macedonia border

Dear Market Participants,

We would like to inform you that, in anticipation of the upcoming go-live of the Greece – North Macedonia (GR-MK) border on JAO's platform, the following provisional documents have been published on our website:

* 'Rules for Explicit Daily Capacity Allocation on Bidding Zone border serviced by JAO' for application to the GR-MK border and its 'Border specific annex for Greece-North Macedonia'

* 'Harmonised Allocation Rules 2026' for application to the GR-MK border and its 'Border Specific Annex for the Bidding Zone border Greece-North Macedonia'

Please note that these documents are released on behalf of the relevant TSOs for information and are pending approval by the relevant National Regulatory Authorities. The rules will be binding once the National Regulatory Authorities have approved them.

The go-live date of the auctions will be announced at a later time.

Registration for participation in these auctions is now open.

Long-term auctions

No action is required. The GR-MK border will be added by default for all Registered Participants and for all new registrations.

Daily auctions – action required

* Existing Market Participants: If you are already registered with JAO, please download the new version of the Amendment to the Participation Agreement from our website (Documents > Resource Center > Registration > Registration and Modification Forms: https://www.jao.eu/resource-center/registration), select the North Macedonia – Greece border under the Rules for Explicit Daily Capacity Allocation on Bidding Zone border serviced by JAO, and submit the signed Amendment via JAO Support Hub (support.jao.eu) to receive the entitlements for this border.

* New Market Participants: Please select the North Macedonia – Greece border under the Rules for Explicit Daily Capacity Allocation on Bidding Zone border serviced by JAO during your registration via JAO Support Hub (support.jao.eu) to receive the entitlements for this border.
