TSO's survey reminder: Introduction of 15 minutes MTU in combination with 1 hour block bid products at explicit day ahead auctions at all CH borders and intraday auctions at CH-IT border

Please kindly be reminded about the open survey which is being conducted on the behalf of the Swiss border TSOs. The survey will be opened until 6th of May 2025.

Please see below TSOs' message:
The work for the introduction of the 15 minutes MTU in the SDAC region is already advanced and in order to adapt the auctions on Swiss borders to the new circumstances, The Swiss border TSOs and JAO are considering implementing 15 minutes MTU in combination with 1 hour block bid products that start and end on the hour in explicit day ahead auctions for cross border capacities on all Swiss borders and explicit intraday auctions for cross border capacities at CH-IT border.

In parallel, prospective discussions are being held with EPEX SPOT to introduce 15-minute MTU for the day-ahead auction in Switzerland.

Note that EPEX SPOT trading participants would still be allowed to bid simultaneously in 60-minute,30-minute or 15-minute on this action.
