Update ALEGrO External Constraint for IDCC(b)

Dear market participants,

Amprion and Elia would like to inform you about a temporary change of the ALEGrO External Constraint used for IDCC(b) process. Starting from BD 25/07/2024 the limiting External Constraint will be set to a maximum value of 999 MW instead of 1000 MW.

This action is needed as current final ID NTC can exceed the technical limitation of the HVDC link between Belgium and Germany (1000 MW) during ID capacity calculation. The unintended effect requiring the change is not present in the Core DACC and IDCC(a) calculation processes, therefore in these processes, the External constraint will remain at 1000 MW.

The potential reduction of maximum 1 MW will be removed as soon as the hotfix has been implemented, foreseen at the end of September 2024.
