Update on the Estonia-Latvia yearly auction 2019
Dear Market Participants,
We would like to inform you that following the common decision of AST, ELERING and the NRAs of their respective country, Article 6.3 of the “Estonia-Latvia Bidding Zone Border Specific Annex” shall be read that a single bid quantity is not allowed to exceed 1/3 of the offered capacity. However, the full set of bids from each registered participant may be submitted until the offered capacity.
As a result the Estonia - Latvia yearly auction for 2019 (EE-LV-Y-BASE-------190101-01) is extended until Monday 29th October 2018. Bids can be submitted until 15:00 CET. For the avoidance of doubt, any bids accepted until now remain valid.
As a result of the common decision, the technical limitation, restricting the total quantity of a set of bids to 1/3 of the offered capacity has been removed. The total requested capacity per participant can now be up to 300 MW for this auction but each single bid CANNOT exceed 100 MW for this auction. The auction tool will however, not automatically reject bids exceeding 100 MW at the time of bidding. We ask all market participants to please respect the 100 MW limitation and any single bid surpassing 100 MW will be removed after the closure of the auction and prior to the calculation of the marginal price.
In the meantime, we remain at your disposal for any further assistance.
Best regards,
JAO Operations
